The Freewell 72mm base ring is an indispensable part of the Real Locking VND/CPL system, which allows you to securely and quickly mount filters to your lens. Made of precision-milled aluminum, it provides a solid mount and compatibility with the rest of the system - from VND filters to caps. The 72mm model fits lenses with such a thread and allows the system to be extended to smaller diameters.

The kit comes with a two-snap protective cap with built-in NFC module. It allows instant access to user manuals, warranties and support materials - just bring your smartphone close. The cover itself effectively protects the lens or mounted filter from dust, scratches and mechanical damage during transport.

Expandable

The base ring is the basis for expanding the Freewell Real Locking filter set. It is available in different sizes (from 49mm to 82mm), allowing you to fit the system to different lenses. This allows you to use one set of filters on multiple cameras while maintaining compatibility and convenience.
